Mount your DSLR, camcorder, point and shoot, or action camera to any smooth surface or object to capture unbelievable shots. Two industrial locking suction cups create a trustworthy attachment that’s worthy of moving sheets of commercial glass, but designed for quick set up and removal in almost any shooting environment. The stainless steel ¼-20 post enables universal use with cameras and camcorders weighing up to 8 pounds, and features a locking ring to prevent spin in rough conditions. Four adjustment points are built in; two pivoting joints at the suction cups to accommodate flat or curved mounting surfaces, and two ball joints that enable 360 degree tilt, turn and rotation for a totally customized set up. The two inch anodized zinc extension arm provides added reach to shoot around obstacles and over objects when needed.
Custom Setup Options
Four adjustable joints enable unlimited tilt, turn and rotation so you can achieve virtually any shooting angle desired, hands free. The rotating ball head and extension arm help you to customize the perfect shot, even around fenders or in tough spaces. Because each suction cup is adjustable, the Fat Gecko Dual Mount can accommodate rounded surfaces and angles, as well as flat surfaces, with ease.

Fstoppers Reviews the Delkin Fat Gecko by Jaron, 06-28-12

Clever camera angles and captivating b-roll are important when making a solid and complete video product. When you’re on the move in a car, dune buggy, sailboat or tank, great videographers create enthralling footage by capturing unusual angles and movement. The Delkin Fat Gecko shines as a low-cost, effective suction mount for any slick surface that allows you to get your camera in the face of the mobile action.
The Delkin Fat Gecko is a simple and unassuming product that has one designated purpose: suction it to any non-porous surface to make a stable shooting point for photos or video. Built with a combination of hard plastic and aluminum, the Fat Gecko is lightweight, surprisingly sturdy, and most importantly, reliable. Because let’s face it, none of us want to see our expensive camera equipment smashed to bits onto the ground while speeding down a side street or over a dune, or lost to the waves while surfing, kite boarding, or yachting with Bruce Wayne.
The suction mounts and the build of whole of the body work and feel great. The suction is surprisingly strong. On a number of occasions, I was grunting with effort to get the suctions to release from the places I stuck the Fat Gecko. I tried wood, ceramic, steel, aluminum, and glass. The less porous the surface, the better the Gecko stuck. Stained and sealed wood (like you might find on a coffee table) worked pretty well. A Target bookcase however, was less effective. That’s to be expected as the lines and grooves in the particleboard let considerable air into the vacuum suction of the Gecko’s pads. Steel and aluminum worked extremely well. The Gecko will most often be employed attached to the side of a vehicle, so it’s a good thing this test proved that the main selling point of the product was a success. But far and away, the best surface to mount the Fat Gecko has to be glass. Stuck to the front of a windshield, on a sliding door, against a window, you name it, the Gecko held strong and didn’t flinch for hours. I took a five hour drive around the East Bay (San Francisco area for you non-Californians) with the Fat Gecko stuck to the inside of my cab window and it didn’t budge, even after numerous adjustments to the positioning and camera over the course of the test.
Delkin Fat Gecko Dual Suction Camera Mount Review by ClickFlurry, 03-20-12

Yesterday, the ClickFlurry team received a Fat Gecko Dual Suction Cup Camera Mount from the good people at Delkin Devices. Immediately, we dove into every hypothetical scenario we could think of… Could you mount a camera to a motorcycle? How about a spy camera set-up? Would it stick to a person’s bald head? Although we didn’t actually try any of those applications, I’m comfortable saying that Delkin’s Dual Suction Mount is totally awesome and can handle darn near anything!
A more skeptical person might look at this product and pass it off as a novelty… until they actually interact with it. The mount is constructed from heavy-duty plastics and metal, featuring decent-sized thumb screws for adjusting ball-and-socket joints and the position of the suction cups. The whole apparatus just feels strong and sturdy.
The first thing we did was stick it to my desk. By simply pushing the buttons atop the suction cups and flipping up the locks, we got a taste of the mount’s death-grip with a Sword in the Stone-style display of tugging and yanking. …nobody was crowned.
The ClickFlurry team may not be the most extreme collection of people, so we didn’t go surfing or hang gliding. We did the next best thing – we drove down a highway! With some spit on a napkin, I cleaned a small area on the rear, driver’s side door. The Fat Gecko Dual Suction Cup Mount was easy to adjust for the curvature of the metal and took only a few seconds to secure. I attached my Pentax Optio W-60, a rugged, waterproof camera that could handle a little road spray. After all, this was an adventure, and you never know what you might encounter.
Secure? Check. Hit record.
We got on the highway and got up 70 miles-per-hour. I was nervous for my little camera, but we continued on …all the way to the next exit! Not only did the mount hold tightly to the car, but the extension shaft and the mounting screw held so well that the camera didn’t vibrate, slip or shift. The result was a very cool, steady shot from a perspective that we had never even tried to achieve before.
We may not be the most extreme photographers, but in a way, that’s exactly the point that should be made; Delkin’s Fat Gecko Dual Suction Cup Mount isn’t just for crazy adventurers. Think of it an amazingly versatile and compact substitute for a big, bulky tripod. You can turn every table top, stool, window or smooth surface into your tripod or position your flash without boom stands.
When it comes to the Dual Suction Cup Mount, we give it two thumbs up, then we use those thumbs to clamp and lock the mount and take a picture of ourselves with thumbs pointed up in victory.
Delkin Gecko Car Mount by Vince, 02-09-12

Decided to treat myself to a new Camera mount for the car on payday, I’ve had a few car mounts and they’ve all worked fairly well, but none of them have been quite strong enough to hold a DSLR, so after a bit of googling and review reading, I settled on a bad boy called the Delkin Fat Gecko.
The Fat Gecko quite a nice bit of kit, it’s a dual suction device that has the ability to hold weights upto 8lb, at this point I’ll let Delkin’s own advertisement spiel take over, as they explain it much better than me
Adventure-seekers, commercial photographers and amateur filmmakers alike will appreciate the versatility of Delkin Devices’ DIMA 2010 award-winning Fat Gecko Original Suction Cup Camera Mount. A solid steel shaft, powerful vise grip, and rugged construction keep your digital device secure and stationary for hands-free use in the most extreme situations. This sturdy camera mount uses two suction cups and a universal 1/4”-20 tripod mounting screw to attach to any solid surface, ensuring zero damage or slippage at its base.
This universal mount is ideal for SLR, video, compact, and tripod head digital cameras, but is compatible with virtually any device or model up to 8 pounds. With its 360 degree tilt, turn and rotation, the Fat Gecko Gator enables photographers to achieve any shooting angle desired while in motion! Obtain flawless footage from your heavier, more advanced camera while attached to the windshield of a vehicle or aircraft, boat or any other smooth surface. Four adjustable joints and an optional extension shaft allow you to customize the perfect shot. Fully functional and manufactured with superior quality, this device is a must-have for all photography enthusiasts.
I’ve already used the Gecko twice now on the car, the first time was with a Canon PowerShot SX200IS attached to it, I mounted the Gecko and the camera onto the drivers door panel of my BMW and angled the camera backwards and upwards to cover the area of the drivers side rear passenger door window.
The Reasons behind this strange positioning was down to wanting to know what everyone else see’s as they pass our car and see our Cane Corso Blue hung out of the window having her face and ears blasted by the wind, after viewing the resultant footage I can now understand why everyone seems to smile when they see Blue, see for yourself.

WOW. What a camera mount!! I got this specifically to use on my boat in Alaska for use when friends and family are out fishing with me. And what a good choice! This camera mount is incredible. It feels like it holds strong enough to do chin-ups on. Granted I have not put a large SLR or camcorder on it yet, but instead just some small point and shoot digitals, but it just feels VERY secure. In fact it takes more effort to get it OFF than to put it on. Securing it is a snap - just push it on, then move the lever over to the lock position. To take it off, move the lever again, and then you have to pull the tab on the suction cup itself to break the suction - that can be a challenge since it has great suction!
I have placed it in a number of places, and on different surfaces, and have yet to have it not hold. Glass, smooth painted metal, vinyl covered metal and a plastic spot. All were very secure.
The articulation of this thing is amazing - the RAM mount ball style joints give it pretty much any angle needed. By having 2 places to adjust the angles, you can put it into any angle or position needed. The camera mount is a standard size, and so far 3 different cameras have not had any issues.
Sure it costs a little more than some other mounts, but the piece of mind in how well it secures is well worth the cost in my opinion. Next up to try on it is a remote operated digital SLR and a HD camcorder, of which I have no doubt that this mount will handle with zero issues.
“Tough for any challenge” By FSTlambo, 12-31-10
I have used this mount on multiple cars, including several super cars. I have had this mount up to 150MPH+ on the very front and on top of the wing of a L@mborghini Diablo. A little vibration is show, but boy is it solid. Make sure the surface is clean and that you tighten the hinges and you should be set to do anything. Only downside I think is the length of the neck. I wish they could include a longer one so for those that want to do rig shots, you can. Other than that a great mount and I would highly recommend this to anyone.
