Unlike other mounts that clamp onto your handlebars and have the potential to slide around, the Fat Gecko Bike Mount attaches securely through the very same bolts that hold your handlebars to your bike stem. Our universal design allows for single, double or three bolt patterns and ensures a strong reliable hold without the jiggle or vibration that other systems experience. Through rough terrain, dust, dirt and crashes, our mounting technique withstands harsher riding and transportation conditions with less damage to the bike and camera equipment than any other photographic mounting system.
Use Your Own Equipment: Universal Tripod Mount
Our universal tripod post gives you the option to attach any point and shoot, POV camera, DSLR, camcorder or imaging device equipped with a 1/4"-20 tripod thread to your bike safely and securely in seconds. Simply line the bottom of your camera up with the mount's tripod post and screw in a clockwise direction until the camera feels secure, then twist the protective rubber washer up towards the camera body to create a tight insulated hold. No proprietary equipment, adapters or set-up needed.
Get the Shot You Want: Easily Adjustable Angles
Want to capture a shot of yourself at the top of a grueling trail you just conquered? Use your bike as a tripod and prop it up against a tree or bush to get a shot of yourself using your camera's built in timer. During group rides or in unbelievable terrain take pictures and video from a "POV", or point of view, perspective, then splice in some shots of yourself from the bike's perspective. Our ball head and back angle adjusters help you to set up your ideal angle for forward facing, back facing, uphill, downhill or straight rides in moments. As an added bonus, the ball head adjuster is designed to push back upon hard impact, protecting your camera equipment from damage in the event of a crash.
More Riding, Less Searching: Quick Release
Our two part design lets you "snap" your camera on and off your bike in mere seconds while keeping your set-up and angles in place. While your friends are digging around in backpacks and pouches for their cameras or scrambling to release their proprietary equipment from their handlebars and seat posts, you can grab that shot of your buddy in mid-indo without even getting off your bike. If you're a rider who enjoys stopping for a bite to eat, a quick shuttle ride up the mountain or a visit with a friend, the quick release lets you easily remove your camera to carry with you while you're away from your bike.
