Pop-Up Shades are LCD screen protective covers, which double as glare guards. These sturdy, lightweight covers are easily installed (and removed), protect a digital camera’s expensive LCD screen in the closed position, and pop up to provide easier viewing of the display in bright sunlight.

Q & A With A Pop Up Shade Master
Is the size the inner measurement or does it include the frame as well?
The Pop-Up Shade measurement is the inner diameter from corner to corner on the diagonal. It does not include the frame. So the diagonal, corner to corner measurement of the entire pop up shade is closer to 3 3/8”
I cannot get the protective film off of the shade. What can I do?
Use your fingernail to dig into the clear protective film and scratch toward the center of the screen away from the border. This will make it easier to get an edge that you can lift up on and thus peel away the protective film.
What size is my LCD and how do I find the right shade?
The LCD screens are measured from corner to corner on the diagonal of the VISIBLE screen. Turn the camera on and hit the MENU key so that the LCD is illuminated and then measure the illuminated corner to the opposite illuminated corner. This will give you the actual size of the LCD.
Where is the instruction booklet that shows how to install the shade on my camera?
The instructions are on the insert that came in the blister pack that the shade was packaged in. unfold the insert to view instructions.
I see my reflection in the LCD cover and not my screen. Why is the shade not working?
The shade is designed to assist in blocking DIRECT light. REFLECTED light can still be an issue especially if you are wearing a white shirt or are in an area that is overly bright. To counter balance this try increasing the LCD brightness of your camera. Please check camera manual to find the LCD brightness controls.
